Lucky PeopleI watched ESPN's coverage of the WSOP today and realized that I've come to despise tournament luckboxes. Those people who win a big one and think they're suddenly God's gift to poker. Sure you have to be good, but you also have to be tremendously lucky (obviously). For those that celebrate their good fortune - God bless you. For those that think that a tournament win proves how good you are, hahahahaha.
Sorry for the long hiatus between posts. I've been mourning the loss of my favorite blog - Snailtrax. That and I've been moving to Orlando, FL. I'm now a Floridian after living my entire life in northern VA. It is weird and I'm not sure when it'll stop feeling like a vacation. We bought a house with a pool and I've never had one before so it is still a lot of fun. I'm still learning how to take care of it but it doesn't feel like work since I love getting in after the kids are in bed. Pool time > poker right now. We're also backed to a lake with the sun setting over it. We have palm trees in our back yard so the pictures are pretty cool. We've been out on the lake in the canoe and paddle boats, playing in the pool every day and trying to unpack and get settled in. We've had guests all but 1 out of 9 days so it makes it feel more like vacation. We're grilling out listening to music out back, etc. Great times - no poker whatsoever. Like a tournament luckbox, I consider myself extremely lucky, not a better person than I was 6 months ago.
Wait. Yep, PokerStars still works on this computer :). Wait. Ack! FTP doesn't update or uninstall! Got work to do....later.
